What is the detection and maintenance of electric vehicle instrument failure?
Release time:2020-12-16
Electric vehicle meter is one of the important components of electric vehicles, so do you know how to look at your electric vehicle meter? What does the data on the dashboard mean? What are the types of electric vehicle meters? What should be done for fault detection and maintenance? Today we will learn about it together.
1. Pointer instrument. This instrument includes: the cumulative mileage is displayed by a 6-digit dial, the vehicle speed indicator indicates the speed, the battery voltage indicator indicates the battery voltage, the headlight indicator, the left and right turn signal indicator, etc. The accumulated mileage meter is a 6 'decimal' gear counter, and the entire speed indicator is a damping tachometer, which shares a speed input signal for conversion, and realizes their respective indication functions through mechanical transmission. Pointer instrument integration is relatively low, the circuit connection is relatively simple. The meter circuit does not depend on the controller circuit and can work independently. 2. LCD instrument. Through the switch signal of the dedicated Hall sensor, it is transmitted to the single-chip microcomputer on the LCD instrument assembly. By calculating the number of wheel rotations per unit time, the driving speed of the vehicle can be calculated. By multiplying the driving speed and driving time, the cumulative mileage of the whole vehicle can be calculated. Some brushless motor controllers use a single-chip microcomputer as a decoding chip, which can directly calculate the running speed and cumulative mileage of the motor and send it to the LCD meter. 3. Intelligent display instrument. The intelligent display instrument must be equipped with the corresponding intelligent controller, and the on-off state of the LED on the instrument panel is controlled by the intelligent controller. There are many contents displayed, which can not only display the high, medium, low and undervoltage of the battery voltage, but also display the riding mode of the whole vehicle.
When disassembling and assembling the board, the electric vehicle instrument must pay attention to the color and position of each wire, refer to the circuit principle of various instruments, and understand the function of each wire. Because the instrument circuit does not have a special closed sleeve seal, it is an open circuit. Most instrument circuits also integrate horn circuits, steering and buzzer circuits, and some instruments also integrate transition circuits for various lights. The voltage of these circuits is generally 24V or 36V of the battery pack, but the voltage of the display signal circuit of the instrument is generally below 15V, resulting in the coexistence of high and low voltage circuits on the dashboard of the display electric vehicle. Moreover, the instrument circuit is often the meeting point of various wires, so in the process of disassembly and assembly, the battery must be removed. After connecting various wires, place various switches in the "off" position, and measure the 36V line, 15V line, 12V line and ground line with the diode gear of the multimeter. The battery can be installed and energized only if there is no short circuit.
Since electric vehicles use the limited energy of on-board batteries, what they have in common is that they all have a battery voltage display, which is generally separated from control signals such as turnbuckles and brake handles. Therefore, in an emergency, as long as we detect the positive and negative battery connections of the instrument circuit and the 15V, 12V, and 5V ground wires, the instrument can be replaced and the basic display function can be completed.
